I had the pleasure of spending time at SCAD recently on a gorgeous spring day and really taking in how the school merges with the city as part of the overall culture. I discovered a vibrant community filled with outstanding creativity.
History:
SCAD was founded in 1978 by Paula Wallace and a small group of visionaries who wanted to create a specialized art school in the Southeast.
The university started in a renovated historic armory in Savannah, setting the tone for SCAD’s signature blend of preservation and innovation.
